Always a failure

Yeah.. I kind of am in many ways. but especially at doing this.. BLOGGING! Unlike most people who can honestly say they have "no time on their hands" to sit down on a computer and blog about their life or interests, I would just have to compromise by truthfully admitting that I am just plain lazy. I mean I do have a load of endless homework, but I have been greeted with so many opportunities to simply log on to blogspot.com, sign in, and click that vibrant blue button that reads "new post"...but I haven't. Now I kind of feel bad that I just write EXTREMELY overwhelming and long entries instead of continuous daily updates.. sorry :[ (but its not like anyone reads anyway haha )

Moreover, I'm so relived its finally Christmas break. The past month I was working on a photography unit for media class, but I am truly NOT a photographer. Man I respect photographers so much more, because now I understand it doesn't just involve a mindless "click" of the button, but there are so many aspects involved. In the beginning I snapped some sweet pictures (thanks Hanna for letting me borrow your camera!). But towards the end I just right about sucked- A bundle of amateur poser 'artsy' photos. ha! Those will therefore cease to be revealed. but here are some that I do enjoy just a tad bit :)

THE END

ahh... interesting memories to forever cherish :)

I think thats all for now... I am committing myself to blogging a lot more often. So visit it and keep me in check!

With all my love.. Peace Fellas!

So many fish, there in the sea, But I only love one

Today I came in touch with one of my long lost friends. I met it in sixth grade, bought it from a store that I feel embarrassed to walk into, Hot Topic. I spent many great moments with it, and at the peak of my gothic days in the midst of 6th grade I cut half of its shoulder off and pretty much ruined it. But all is well now and at the end of the day I can only say that it has brought me wonderful memories of family, friends, and music...
Haha. I'm so stupid that I couldn't even figure out how to take a picture so the words don't turn up backwards. Oh well. For those of you that cannot read, my shirt says "The Strokes". Yeah, thats right. The Strokes. I decided to wear this shirt yesterday at school after realizing that it has just been in my closet for too long. It has not seen the light of day and you know what, it deserved it.
In a way, a rush of nostalgia, mixed with a little teaspoon of sadness overflowed within me. I have vivid memories around Christmas time, where all I did was listen to The Strokes while cleaning my room. Vivid memories of not only my instant family, but my cousins and friends being connected through our , then, latest preoccupation. Vivid memories of what was happening at that point of my life. And as the years wen't by The Strokes kind of died out...Along with those memories. However, these events were good events. Times in my life never to be forgotten. I've got them to thank for =]

I still love Jules, Nikolai, Albert, Nick, and of course my fabulous Fab.

Peace!

WHY?!

is this computer SO slow? Tell me. Most of the time I have looadds of time to just go online, browse the web, read some blogs and whatnot. Especially my homegirl milara love... (I'm followin your blog girlfriend!) haha. Mornings have been rather peaceful and quiet here in media, as we have just been following a variety of tutorials on Illustrator CS3. After that, the rest of the morning is to ourselves. I enjoy the fact that I have a period out of my crazy schedule to get some reading done. School is stressing me out. And grades are stressing me out more. Its too early in the game to be feeling this way.
Anyway, I always want to upload pictures from the mac at school but this thing is just TOO DARN SLOW. Geez. We can't afford high speed internet? blah.
It might sound materialistic but I've found a new article of clothing to pursue and eventually buy. A leather jacket. Am I late or what? Call me late on trends but I really could care less. Some people don't have the money to spend on a $1541600000000$ leather jacket, let alone a $50 one. Seriously though. It would be lovely to have one for the winter. They are oh so soft to the skin and they add the perfect balance of "toughness" to a feminine ensemble. Someone please find me one that's- Cheap...and chic.

Make your own title

This past Thursday our Ap Language class took an unforgettable trip down to my personal favorite hang out place at lunch... Our school library!! :] But this was no ordinary trip. Nope! We were given a test on abcnews.com to discover our political matches- where we fall on the political line. Are we liberal? Conservative? or possibly just the monkey in the middle?
As teenagers, (not discriminating against my own age group or anything) we tend to be ignorant towards what is going on in the world today. Especially now, this up and coming election is extremely important. No matter what happens it's going to be iconic.. its going to make history. And whether it turns out our next president is McCain or Obama...how much more controversial can you get?
But more towards my wonderful day at the library.. We were given a 10 or 12 [i forget] question quiz on a variety of areas including Foreign Policy (should the US have invaded Iraq?), the Economy, Society (gay marriage?), Healthcare (universal?), and of course the political process.
I never thought a 10 question quiz would stimulate my mind as much as it did. But it was then that I realized something about myself.. I am completely lacking knowledge about our world today. Though it so important to be informed so that we and I can develop our own views on controversial issues.. but more than that...so that we may know, period.
But I'm glad that I did take this short and sweet quiz. The funny this is I didn't get McCain or Obama as one of my top candidates. Good, lets keep it that way. But I did get Hillary Clinton as my top 2 candidate! Yet speaking of the two left standing, I'm so sick of kids and teenagers and even adults who have a vote in mind-but for all the wrong reasons.
If you know nothing about this person..about their views on the economy, on healthcare, on abortion, on gay marriage.. Then DONT vote out of absent minded foolishness. "He's old and cute.. McCain!" "Hes the first African American that could be President..Obama!" Its so ridiculous. I've experienced this first hand as kids in my class yelled obnoxiously "Obama! Yeah, he's tight. Vote for him. Ey girl did you vote for him?" "Shut up, I did. I ain't stupid"
Ugh. It makes me sick to my stomach. Don't make this a trend. Don't make voting for Obama "cool". Same goes for McCain. If you honestly believe in this person, then go right ahead and vote as you wish, I respect that.
But if you vote and have no knowledge behind that. Then don't even waste driving to the polls, submitting your vote, and allowing a person to win when you had no idea of their intentions. Plus, your making people like me (who is going to work the poll booths on election day) have more hard, and tedious work to do.
Lovedub..out. ha!

A mac obsession

Over the past three years or so there has been a widespread obsession with one of the most widely appreciated, technological, and just the down right good stuff..apple[s], and in my case, I-macs. From ipods, to nanos , to touch screen phones to.. what?! paper thin Laptops? Yes its true, they are inescapable and have spread across America like a virus as strong as the black death. Dangerous yet forever clinging.
Anyway I'm writing this as in this very moment I am on a most beautiful Imac. Not technically mine, I should mention, but it might as well be. I'm in Media Class right now and as a perk all the students recieve their own personal mac, that we can personalize and make our own desktops and screensavers!! oohh, so exiting :] Let me say that I am no pro on these smart computers, but I use the limited knowledge that I do posses, and I enjoy it. Whatever, all in all this is pointless. But this is my ode to Macs. I love you!
Oh also, this is my first time having a blog since the 7th grade "XanGa'S". I felt that I should start one since some days in Media we are done with projects and I am left with nothing to do, but aside from that I love reading others' blogs, so why not start my own? Though it will most definitely not be as interesting.
Anyway, I'm a newbie, so forgive me for my boringness. Hopefully my life will get better , then I will have amazing things to write about. But as for now, Enjoy living life loveadubbin. Peace
